Plastic Micro Hematocrit Tubes
Plastic Micro Hematocrit Tubes Vitrex provides safety by eliminating the risk of injury and contamination due to breakage.
The plastic tubes have the same capillary action and tolerances as the standard Vitrex hematocrit tubes of glass.
The plastic tubes fit conventional 75 mm hematocrit centrifuge, and are tested according to the applicable parts of the international standard ISO 12772 and CE marked according to the IVD 98/79/EU.
Vitrex Plastic Micro Hematocrit tubes are supplied with colour-coding on the packaging and on the tubes. Plain/without heparin (blue colour), with uniform sodium heparinisation (red colour) or ammonia heparinisation (green colour). Each tube contains at least 4 IU heparin as prescribed by the standard.
Dimensions for Plastic Micro Hematocrit Tubes:
ID: 0,85 ± 0,05 mm
OD: 1,55 ± 0,05 mm

The tubes are available in dispenser vials of 100 pcs each for hygienic and easy handling. 10 vials per cardboard box. Special requirements regarding marking, dimensions and coating can be met.
We recommend Vitrex Sigullum Wax to be used as sealing of our capillary tubes. The Wax plates has 2x24 numbered positions per pair, which makes it easy to seal and transport samples. Each pair can be forced apart and used separately. The even wax layer ensures uniform sealing.
